The ongoing special match between India Maharajas and World Giants brought the best of the Giants batter as they amassed 170/8 in 20 overs. Kevin O Brien (52 off 31), Denesh Ramdin (42* off 29) and blitz knock from Thisara Perera (23 off 16) helped the side post a competitive total on board.
While Giants batters were on their way to put a huge total on board, incredible bowling from Pankaj Singh rescued the India Maharajas in the first innings. The 37-year-old right-arm fast-medium made a noteworthy contribution with the bowl as he completed a five-wicket haul.
Pankaj Singh's last over of the match was nothing less than a rare sight in T20 format, as the bowler bowled a three-wicket maiden. He picked three wickets in the over and conceded zero runs to restrict Giants at 170/8. Romesh Kaluwitharana, Tim Bresnan and Daniel Vettori were his notable dismissals in the 1st, 3rd and sixth delivery of the over.
