Philadelphia 76ers’ Paul George scripted history and joined an exclusive NBA all-time club as his side defeated Charlotte Hornets 121-108 in their recent clash. The Monday night game saw the nine-time All-Star Paul George making his way into the Top 10 for the three-pointers made in the history of the league. With his record, he surpassed Jason Terry, who had previously occupied the tenth spot with a total of 2,282 three-pointers made over the course of his entire career. 

Paul has now 2283 three–pointers and he is chasing Vince Carter, who sits on the ninth spot with 2290 threes. Stephen Curry leads the list with a total of 3,832 threes, followed by James Harden with 3,010. Notably, George has been in the NBA since 2010 and during his rookie season, he averaged just 29 percent from three of 61 games that he played. By the second year, his numbers went up to 38 percent throughout 66 games. Since then, he has been one of the NBA’s most dangerous shooters from deep. 

George-Maxey duo scores 73 points as Sixers defeat Hornets 121-108

The game saw Paul George and Tyrese Maxey pairing to come up with 73 points on Monday night as the 76ers took down the Hornets 121-108 at the Spectrum Center. George scored his most points as a Sixer with 33 on 13-for-20 shooting, and had eight assists, five rebounds and two steals. On the other hand, Maxey came up with 40 points, five assists, five rebounds and four steals. Owing to their win, Sixers are now on 8-16, while Charlotte dropped to 7-19. 

During the game, the Sixers had four players out injured, including the likes of Joel Embiid, Jared McCain, Caleb Martin and Adem Bona. Kelly Oubre Jr. came up with 19 points, while Andre Drummond, who was featured in place of Joel Embiid came up with 15 rebounds for his side. Miles Brides had 24 points while Nick Richards added 19 points off the bench to lead the Hornets.
