After a delay in receiving their visas, the Pakistan Cricket Team received a warm reception upon their arrival at the Hyderabad airport in India. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf termed India a "Dushman Mulk" (Enemy Country) in his recent media interaction.

Pakistan are scheduled to face the 2019 World Cup runners-up, New Zealand in a warm-up game on Friday, September 29 followed by their second warm-up game against Australia on October 3. Both the warm-up games will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

During a media interaction, Zaka talked about the financial support he has provided for the Pakistan team and went on to call India "Dushman Mulk". He said, "Pakistan ki history mein itne paise kisine nahi diye honge jitne Maine unko diye. Players ka morale upar rehna chahiye jab ye kisi dushman mulk ya kisi bhi jagah khelne jaayen jahan wo competition ho raha ho. (I have given the money which is the most in Pakistan's history to boost Players’ morale when they go to an enemy country or where the competition is being held.)”
