It was a seldom of a day for the former India and RCB skipper Virat Kohli, who lit up the beautiful peaks of the Dharamsala with his staggering knock of 92 in just 47 balls coupled with seven fours and six hits over the ropes. After the match, it lightened up with Punjab players giving whole-hearted respect to the IPL’s all-time highest run-scorer.

It was a jubilant day for the 35-year-old who applied the brakes to the constant criticism of him over strike rate as he piled up a magnificent 92 off just 47 balls which propelled RCB to a humongous score of 241/7 in the complete overs. Chasing the total, the Sam Curran-led side managed to get only 181, thus losing the game by 60 runs.

Following the match, when all the players were completing their post-match formalities, Punjab Kings’ players presented their respect to Virat Kohli by removing their caps while shaking his hands. Many home team players shook hands, hugged, and congratulated the RCB icon for his innings. In the end, Virat also gave a heartwarming hug to the former RCB batting coach Sanjay Bangar and applauded him.
