In a shocking series of events, a pig’s head was thrown on the field by fans during the clash between Corinthians and Palmeiras in the 2024 Serie A fixture at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo on Tueday, November 5. During the first half of the match, a dead pig’s head was thrown from the crowd when Palmeiras were preparing to take a corner kick. Reportedly, the pig head was thrown on the field by Corinthians fans.
Palmeiras midfielder Raphael Veiga was preparing to take a corner when Corinthians' Yuri Alberto came and kicked the head off the field. The stadium staff collected the head and removed it completely from the playing ground. The reason for throwing the inside the ground is still unknown. According to the reports, two people were arrested for the incident but later released without charge due to lack of evidence.

Yuvi Alberto who kicked the pig’s head from the field later revealed that he almost got injured while kicking as he thought it was a pillow or cushion on the ground. “I almost broke my foot. I thought it was something else, a cushion, but it was a pig’s head, I almost hurt myself,” Alberto Was quoted as saying by Footboom.
