During the ODI World Cup 2023 match between India and New Zealand on Sunday, October 22, when Ravindra Jadeja dropped an easy catch, his wife Rivaba Jadeja was visibly disappointed on camera. At the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, the rare lapse in concentration from Ravindra Jadeja in the field surprised one and all, but his wife was more shocked than anyone, which led to her going viral on social media.

The big moment involving Ravindra Jadeja happened in the 11th over of the New Zealand innings, when Mohammed Shami bowled a good length delivery, which Rachin Ravindra drove on the up through the off-side. But Ravindra Jadeja, who was stationed at backward point, dropped a sitter of a chance after getting both hands on the ball.
The dropped catch allowed Rachin Ravindra to get into his batting innings as the second powerplay stage went on. He was able to stitch together a massive partnership of 159 runs for the third wicket with Daryl Mitchell, to put New Zealand in a commanding position against the Indian cricket team.
As of this writing, New Zealand are 178-3 in the 34th over of their innings against India in the ODI World Cup 2023, after Rachin Ravindra finally lost his wicket to Mohammed Shami, finding Shubman Gill at long on, for 75 off 87 with six fours and one maximum. Daryl Mitchell is holding for the Blackcaps with 75 off 78 with four fours and four maximums, while the stand-in captain Tom Latham joined him at the crease.
