Barcelona won their first league title in four years after they beat Espanyol 4-2 at the RCDE Stadium in Cornellà de Llobregat, Spain, and the Catalan giants erupted in joy. The team celebrated the title win with an open-top bus parade and around 80,000 fans took to the streets for the celebration. Robert Lewandowski, who is popular for his viral TikTok videos, showed off his dance moves to the crowd.
Barcelona's men’s team were also joined by the women’s team, who won the league too, for an open-top bus parade through Barcelona. The players from the men’s team wore T-shirts with the words, "La Liga is ours. The future too." The women carried the slogan, "We play together, we win together."
Barcelona’s official account tweeted the video of their Polish striker showing his dance moves with the caption, "Robert Lewandowski’s day off."
Take a look at Lewandowski's dance from another angle:
Barcelona men's team are currently placed at the top of the La Liga 2022-23 points table with a 14-point lead over the second-placed defending champions, Real Madrid while the women's team have managed an unbeaten record this season with 28 wins in 29 matches and have managed an 11-point lead from the second-placed Real Madrid Femenino.
Lewandowski scored twice against Espanyol to take his tally up to 21 goals for the season and is on the top of the scoring charts in La Liga. He started the season exceptionally but cooled off in the second half of the season. The striker mentioned on Barca TV that he wants to score more goals. He said, "There are still four games to go… I have to score more goals. I’m very happy to win La Liga. We played very well today." Barcelona are expected to pick up the trophy when they face Real Sociedad at Camp Nou on Saturday night.
