The Indian captain Rohit Sharma has returned home from South Africa following a first Test win for the national team in Cape Town earlier in the week. The 36-year-old was recorded on camera, making his way out of the airport in Mumbai before proceeding to pose for the fans and paparazzi standing by.
Rohit Sharma, who has experienced some big ups and downs during his cricketing journey in the past few months, was all smiles upon arriving back in India after a good ending to the tour to South Africa. He rocked up in casual attire outside the airport, taking in the adulation from the fans who have been a vital part of his cricket career over the years.

Notably, in his first assignment as captain after India lost the ODI World Cup 2023 final at home to Australia, Rohit Sharma had an uphill battle to ensure that the visitors won their first Test series in South Africa. The first Test match at the SuperSport Park in Centurion was an afterthought for Team India, who succumbed to a massive loss by an innings and 32 runs to the Proteas in December last year.
But, in a massive turnaround, the Indian cricket team won the second and the final Test match of the series against South Africa at the Newlands in Cape Town by seven wickets. The first Test win at this venue also ensured that India levelled the series 1-1 in South Africa, achieving the big feat for only the second time in history.
