Edwards had lost his title to Belal Muhammad in July last year, and Sean feels that he dominated Leon Edwards more than Belal Muhammad. Speaking to the press after the fight he said, “I think I did a lot better than Belal… I made Leon quit in front of his hometown.” He also added by saying, “If we were in Philly, you ain’t making me quit in my hometown, I’m going to sleep son,” referring to Philadelphia and how he made the UK fighter submit after a guillotine choke.
Sean and Leon’s fight was not only for the main event, but also special for its record-breaking attendance and gate revenue. UFC Fight Night 254 attracted 18,583 fans, generating a gate of $4.17 million, making it the highest-grossing Fight Night in UFC history. Sean Brady's dominant performance earned him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, reflecting his exceptional skills and solidifying his status as a top contender in the welterweight division.
