Lancashire Lightnings' Tim David and Essex Eagles' Michael Pepper completed stunning catches in the T20 quarter-final clash between the two sides in the Vitality Blast. Lancashire eventually won the match by 7 wickets with 26 balls remaining to reach the semifinal.

With Essex batting first, Michael Pepper scored 36 runs to help his team reach a total of 161 runs for 5 wickets. Things were going well for the Eagles until Lancashire's Tim David took a brilliant catch to dismiss Dan Lawrence on Luke Wood's delivery.

Take a look at Tim David's stunner to remove Dan Lawrence:

While chasing the target, Lancashire lost the wicket of Keaton Jennings in the first over but half-centuries from Steven Croft (76*) and Dane Vilas (51) helped them reach the target in just 15.4 overs. However, Essex's Michael Pepper made an excellent effort to help dismiss Lightnings' wicket-keeper-batter Phil Salt in the 9th over.

Pepper caught a mighty sweep to the boundary by Salt and before crossing the boundary ropes, hurled the ball to his teammate Ben Allison. The wicket was revenge by Pepper on Salt as the latter stumped the Eagle batter in the first innings.

Lancashire will now face their arch-rivals Yorkshire Vikings in the semi-finals at Edgbaston on July 16 in Vitality Blast Finals Day. On the other hand, Somerset face Derbyshire Falcons on Saturday for the quarterfinal match with the winner to face Hampshire Hawks in the first semi-final.
