Playing his 500th international match, Virat Kohli completed a stunning century against West Indies at the Queen's Park Oval. With the milestone, Kohli also completed his 76th international ton as he nears Sachin Tendulkar's near-impossible record of 100 international centuries. Kohli came into bat after Shubman Gill was dismissed in the 36th over when India had put on 153 on the scoreboard.

Moments after Kohli's arrival, Team India saw Rohit Sharma lose his wicket and then the 34-year-old steadied the innings and stitched crucial partnerships with first Ajinkya Rahane and then Ravindra Jadeja to put the Men in Blue in the driver's seat as Day 1 conclude. Then on Day 2, Kohli quickly got to work and reached his 76th international century in 180 balls with 10 fours.
