Wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has been out of the Indian team throughout the ongoing World Cup. Veteran player Dinesh Karthik has been the Men in Blue’s designated glove man over the unconventional Pant as he didn’t have many top-tier performances in the lead-up to this marquee tournament.

But during India’s recent net session in Melbourne, Indian top-order batter Virat Kohli was seen counselling the young keeper. The pair were seen talking to each other at the nets as Kohli walked up to Pant and encouraged him as per journalist Sushant Mehta.

The former India captain was seen helping out the Indian opener KL Rahul, who was going through a rough phase of form in Adelaide.  Kohli was seen having a long conversation with Rahul after which, in the Bangladesh game, the Karnataka batter put up an incredible performance.

KL Rahul put up 50 in just 32 balls with three fours and four sixes. Later in the press conference, the Karanataka batter talked about the conversation with Kohli and revealed that they were talking about the Australian conditions which have been different this time.

Rahul said, "We were actually just discussing how Australian conditions have been a little different this time. We have come here before and played Test cricket and we expected the wickets to play in a certain way and that's not happened so far and it's been more challenging than our previous tour. We were just talking about that thing."
