Sports unite people and it has been proven time and again. While the visuals of Indian and Pakistan cricket fans dancing outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground are still fresh in the memories of everyone, another visual has emerged but not of fans dancing but of a Chinese cricket fan who loves Virat Kohli and the Indian culture.

Ahead of India’s match against Bangladesh, a Chinese cricket fan was spotted outside the Adelaide Oval with India’s tricolour imprinted on his cheeks. When approached and asked by a journalist, the man revealed that he is a big fan of the Indian cricket team and is here to watch Virat Kohli. He also expressed his love for Indian culture and tradition by saying, “mujhe bharatiya sanskriti bahut pasand hai”.

“Mai Indian team ka bahot bada bhakt hu (I am a big follower of the Indian cricket team)…..I love Indian culture,” told the Chinese man to Indian Express on camera. The guy also revealed that he learned Hindi on his own. Indian Express also reported that the fan is a language student at Adelaide University.

This is not the first time a non-Indian cricket fan has come to cheer for the team. A few days back, a Nepalese fan was seen cheering for the Indian team against the Netherlands. He claimed to be a fan of the team’s captain Rohit Sharma.

Coming to the match between India and Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and invited Rohit Sharma and his men to bat first. Both teams have made one change to their respective playing XIs. While Bangladesh included left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam for Soumya Sarkar, Axar Patel replaced Deepak Hooda in India’s playing XI.
