The second phase of IPL 2021 is just a few nights' sleep away. While the tournament was supposed to culminate in May, it came to an abrupt stop due to the COVID-19 crisis in India. Keeping in mind, a possible third wave in India, the tournament has been moved to the UAE and it is all set to resume on September 19. Teams have already reached Middle East and have started their preparations for the tournament.
Although not many experts have picked Rajasthan Royals as one of their favourites, especially in the absence of their overseas stars Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and now Jos Buttler, captain Sanju Samson wants his team to go for the kill. In a video shared by the franchise on their social media, the skipper can be seen motivating the side and telling them how to approach the second phase of the competition.
Samson told the boys to go all out and not to worry about whether they are finishing eighth or first. He even told them not to worry about the opposition and just have a fearless attitude in their eyes and body language.
"All. Or. Nothing. ?? #HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | #IPL2021 | @IamSanjuSamson," the Rajasthan Royals captioned the short video.

RR have only managed to win one IPL title till date which came in the inaugural season in 2008. Post that, they have never come close to winning the competition. This year they have won 3 out of their 7 matches so far but have lost the remaining four. They find themselves at the fifth position on the points table with a net run rate of -0.190. While they have been hit hard by the unavailability of a few of their overseas players, they can take inspiration from their own run in the 2008 edition of IPL where a side punched above its weight to lift the trophy.
Rajasthan also boasts of a few quality domestic and international players and if they stitch a few wins together and peak at the right time, there is every reason to believe they can end their trophy drought since 2009.
