On July 1, Saturday, WWE produced the latest edition of the premium live event called Money in the Bank at the O2 Arena in London, England. It was headlined by the Bloodline Civil War, a tag team match, in which The Usos went head-to-head against Solo Sikoa and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The show was kick-started with the traditional Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match featuring superstars like Damian Priest, Logan Paul, LA Knight, Ricochet, Butch, Santos Escobar, and Shinsuke Nakamura. It was a pulsating contest, where every wrestler threw caution to the wind in their bid to win the Money in the Bank contract, which guarantees a championship opportunity anyplace, anytime, for up to a year.

During this MITB ladder match, Butch, the Englishman, brought out a cricket bat to the sheer excitement of the fans in London, who are well familiarised with the sport for centuries. The 29-year-old performer then managed to beat up a few superstars with the cricket bat before he was taken down for the count himself.

Coincidentally, the second test of the Ashes, one of the biggest cricket series in the world, is currently being played in the city of London between England and Australia, where the Money in the Bank PLE was held on July 1.

At the very end, Damian Priest managed to unhook the Money in the Bank briefcase suspended high above the ring to win the ladder match. With this massive victory, the American superstar secured himself the chance of cashing in the MITB contract against the champion of his choosing.
