In a high-octane IPL 2025 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, fast bowler Yash Thakur made a blunder against SRH opener batter Abhishek Sharma. Chasing a mammoth target of 246 runs, SRH got a flying start as Abhishek and Travis Head were all over PBKS bowlers. During the third over of the innings, Abhishek smashed a four and a six on the first three balls against Thakur.

Yash Thakur then bowled a length ball which Abhishek Sharma attempted to send into the stands again but couldn’t time it well as Shashank Singh did not make a mistake in grabbing the ball at deep backward point. However, as the PBKS players were celebrating a big wicket, their fun was spoiled as it was declared as a no-ball. On the very next delivery, Abhishek took full advantage of the free-hit and replied with a helicopter shot and went straight into the stands.
