The Rock inducted his grandmother Lia Maivia posthumously into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2024 in a ceremony at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Shortly after, when  The Rock  was leaving the building through the entrance ramp, a Cody Rhodes fan had some choice words for him, following which he told him to watch his “f**** ** mouth.”

Lia Maivia, the wife of Peter Maivia, and the mother of Rocky Johnson, was one of the first female promoters in the world of pro-wrestling, running the Polynesian Pro Wrestling (PPW) in the mid-1980s in Hawaii, which was a territory of the National Wrestling Alliance. The promotion ran a show on the Financial News Network, which was known as Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling.

During the induction speech, The Rock called her grandmother a trailblazer in the male-dominated industry of pro-wrestling. He called Lia Maivia a game changer in the sport, who opened doors for many wrestlers, including the women, and remarked “Grandma, thank you so much for all you’ve done!”

At the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, The Rock also turned his attention to Cody Rhodes, who will be his opponent in the main event of night one of WrestleMania XL. He stated that whatever happens between him and Cody Rhodes will not be business, but personal.

After finishing up talking on the center stage at the HOF ceremony, The Rock was interrupted by a fan on the entrance ramp, who allegedly called him a “p****,” before telling him that Cody Rhodes was coming for him at WrestleMania XL. When the fan remarked that The Rock sold out, he was none too pleased, and said, “Watch your f****** mouth.”

The Rock is set to team up with Roman Reigns in a tag team match at WrestleMania XL on Saturday, April 6, to take on the pairing of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, with huge implications on the main event of the night two of WrestleMania.
