In the 38th match of the IPL 2024, Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals defeated Hardik Pandya's Mumbai Indians by nine wickets and eight balls remaining while chasing a 180-run target. After winning the toss, MI chose to bat and lost their first three wickets in the 3.1 overs. RR pacer Sandeep Sharma registered a five-wicket haul while Tilak Varma (65) and Nehal Wadhera (49) helped MI post 179 runs on the board. RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his first century this season and remained unbeaten as the home side won the match by nine wickets.

Yuzvendra Chahal becomes first bowler in IPL to pick 200 wickets

During RR and MI's clash in Jaipur on Sunday, Rajasthan spinner Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Mumbai's Mohammad Nabi in the eighth over and became the first player to reach the 200-wicket mark in IPL history. Chahal bowled a floated legbreak delivery, which got the leading edge of Nabi's bat, and caught the Afghanistan all-rounder out.

Virat Kohli fined for breaching IPL Code of Conduct during KKR vs RCB

The 35-year-old former RCB skipper Virat Kohli has been fined 50 per cent of the match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the IPL 2024 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. “Kohli committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.8 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction," the statement read.

Aaron Finch lashed out at Rajat Patidar for throwing away his wicket during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's one-run loss against the Kolkata Knight Riders. He told Star Sports, “You can’t be walking out and throwing wickets away, particularly in batters. It’s hard enough to get in, especially on a surface like that where the ball was holding enough and spinners were having an impact. Sam Curran, the Punjab Kings captain, has been fined 50 per cent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team's Indian Premier League 2024 match against the Gujarat Titans at the PCA New International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur on April 21. Curran committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.8 of the IPL's Code of Conduct.
