I have sent him a legal notice with respect to his defamation and attempts at character assassination, and will be pursuing this matter to its logical conclusion,”  Kalyan Chaubey wrote.

CAS clears Simona Halep of doping ban; to return to tennis with immediate effect

The two-time Grand Slam champion, Simona Halep on Tuesday, March 5 was cleared to return to competitive tennis after she was cleared of her doping ban by the highest sports court, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The court announced that Halep was not entirely at fault for her positive doping test at the 2022 US Open.  The CAS thus lifted the allegations of suspected doping cheating from the Romanian international. 

ITF postpones  Hopman Cup to 2025

The International Tennis Federation confirmed that t he 2024 Hopman Cup has been moved to 2025 because of the Paris Olympics, later this year.  The mixed team event was slated to take place in Nice after a successful return in 2023. In the previous edition, Croatia took down Switzerland in the final.  ITF President David Haggerty said,   “With both the Hopman Cup and Olympic Games due to take place in France this year, hitting pause on the Hopman Cup until 2025 is a sensible decision.
