The T20 World Cup 2024 clash between India and Pakistan witnessed some global super stars at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The big ticket clash often garners a lot of fan fare with India and Pakistan being two of the biggest teams in cricketing world and is also one of the most viewed sporting events globally.
For this India-Pakistan clash, former cricketers like Chris Gayle, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Shahid Afridi were present at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. Gayle was spotted wearing a special blazer with the India and Pakistan flags on each sleeve.

Ahead of the India-Pakistan clash, Indian captain Rohit Sharma spoke about playing their arch-rivals in a high-intensity contest like the World Cup. Speaking at the toss, Sharma said, " Would've bowled first too. We need to assess how conditions play and come up with an idea of what a good score is. Those games have helped us assess conditions here."
"We've spoken about what we need to do as a batting unit to get a good score and then we've got the bowling unit to defend. Every game is important in a World Cup, you can't just show up. Anything can happen. We're sticking to the same XI."
