Team India is set to host Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, followed by three-match T20I series, starting from September 19. Ahead of the series, Indian players have been undergoing net practices and training sessions at the Chepauk Stadium. While the Rohit Sharma-led side will eye to begin the home Test season on a positive note, Bangladesh on the other hand, are coming into this series after whitewashing Pakistan at their home.

Meanwhile, ahead of the India versus Bangladesh Test series, the home team called in Gurnoor Brar to prepare for the disconcerting pace of Bangladesh’s Nahid Rana. The right-arm pacer was seen troubling Pakistani batters with his ability to clock 150 kmph consistently. Notably, Rana is 6.5 feet tall and can extract extra bounce from the pitch.

Who is Gurnoor Kaur?

Gurnoor Brar is a fast bowler, was born on May 25, 2000 in Muktsar, Punjab. He plays for Punjab in domestic cricket and has played five first class, one List A game and a T20 for Punjab Kings. The 24-year-old has taken seven wickets in red-ball cricket and has a wicket to his name in List A. Despite making his first class debut in December 2022, he hasn’t played enough games.

Notably, the right-arm pacer was part of Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans in IPL but played only one game for the Kings against Lucknow Super Giants in 2023. With his height, he has been helpful for the Men in Blue in order to prepare them for that extra bounce.
