Netizens took to social media to express their disappointment after rain delayed the toss in the last league game of the IPL 2024. On May 19, Sunday, Rajasthan Royals were set to host Kolkata Knight Riders at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. However, right before the toss, it started drizzling in the city, which led to a delay in the coin toss. This wasn’t the first time that rain has affected games in the season.
Earlier, a few matches were also abandoned or were reduced to fewer overs. However, the delay in the last league-stage game of the match led to disappointment in fans and followers alike. While some expressed their dismay for not being able to enjoy the match, others slammed the RR management for conducting the match in the rain-prone city.
If the game gets washed out, RR will finish third in the points table, as both KKR and RR have secured their playoff areas.
