On Tuesday, March 5, WWE released the highly anticipated 2K24 trailer, announcing the deluxe edition and forty years of WrestleMania edition, which is the newest installment of the flagship video game franchise of the promotion. The President of Visual Concepts, Greg Thomas, spoke about how the “WWE 2K24 is a testament to the development team’s world champion-level commitment to excellence.”
The WWE 2K24 will have the unforgettable moments from WrestleMania, featuring Hulk Hogan going one-on-one against The Rock, billed as “Icon vs Icon,” Stone Cold Steve Austin refusing to tap out to Bret Hart’s sharpshooter, and Shawn Michaels versus Razor Ramon in a ladder match, and many more. Some of the roster members in the 2K24 will be the cover faces, namely, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley, along with Roman Reigns, The Rock, John Cena, R-Truth, and the boxing icon Muhammad Ali.
There will be four new match types in the WWE 2K24, which are special guest referee, ambulance match, casket match, and gauntlet match. MyRISE is going to be back in the WWE 2K24, bringing unique career mode experiences with two new storylines, including the women’s division unleashed experience and the men’s division undisputed experience.
MyFACTION will allow the players to build a team by collecting, managing, and upgrading from a lot of WWE superstars and legends to create their ultimate four-person faction returns. Also, the MyGM, the WWE brand management simulation, will continue to expand with new GMs and brands for the players to enjoy the 2K24.
Notably, the deluxe edition and forty years of WrestleMania edition of the WWE 2k24 are currently available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Meanwhile, the standard edition and standard cross-gen digital edition will be available on Friday, March 8.
