India sealed a thrilling victory over Pakistan in their opening fixture at the Asia Cup 2022. Hardik Pandya scored the winning run as he launched a flatter delivery from Mohammad Nawaz for a massive six. The India all-rounder played a blistering knock of 33* off just 17 balls and helped India get a much-needed victory. Pandya was ably supported by Ravindra Jadeja who was promoted ahead of Suryakumar Yadav to bat at No.4.

Jadeja played a well-paced inning of 35 runs before perishing in the last over. The southpaw played the role assigned to him to perfection. As Jadeja played a crucial innings in a tricky chase for India, he was invited for the post-match interview, and interestingly, it was Sanjay Manjrekar who was there to take it. This made up for a great match-up as the two individuals have got involved in banter in the past.

So, as soon as Jadeja walked up to the space, Manjrekar asked him if the cricketer was okay to talk to the commentator. To this, Jadeja affirmed with a wide smile on his face. Sanjay Manjrekar's asked Ravindra Jadeja- You are ok to talk to me? Right, Jaddu?" Jadeja: yeah Absolutely!!”

Notably, Manjrekar had called Jadeja a "bits and pieces" player while the cricketer had aggressively celebrated pointing toward the commentator after scoring a half-century at the 2019 World Cup semifinal.
