Rajasthan Royals’ newly appointed Head Coach Rahul Dravid recalled the T20 World Cup 2024 win and said that the ‘never give up’ situation can help one turn around any situation. Former India men’s head coach Dravid was at the Rajasthan Royals Cricket Cup 2024 Grand Finale at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. Dravid was a part of the team as a player from 2011 to 2013 and later continued his association with them as mentor till 2015. After a gap of nine years, the former Indian cricketer re-joined the Jaipur-based franchise as the Head Coach.
During the finale, Dravid recalled India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024 and shared a piece of wisdom with fans and young players present at the SMS Stadium in Jaipur. Recalling the last few overs of the final match between India and South Africa in Barbados, Dravid shared how the ‘never give up’ attitude can help one change the course of a situation.

Dravid, 51, said, “By showing resilience and the fighting spirit in a difficult situation, one might not always get success, but with it, they can surely turn around the tide and increase the odds of their success. The biggest learning from World Cup 2024 that I would like to share with young kids present here is to never give up. Keep fighting till the last moment.”
He added, “We all felt extremely happy by winning the tournament, and I am sure everyone across the nation would have felt the same kind of happiness.” Apart from Dravid, the event also saw the presence of former rifle shooter Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who won India’s first individual Olympic silver medal in men’s double-trap event at the Athens Games 2004.
