The Gujarat Titans hosted the Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday, May 10 with the IPL 2024 playoffs battle getting intense with each passing day. The match being a do-or-die one for the Shubman Gill-led side, it was the visiting skipper in Ruturaj Gaikwad who came out on top in the toss war.
After being invited to put the score first on the board, the GT openers in Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan took the CSK bowlers to cleaners, scoring their respective hundreds. Coincidentally, both the openers' centuries came in the same over off 50 deliveries each. However, it was Shubman Gill’s fourth IPL hundred, Sai Sudharsan reached his maiden IPL ton in the match against CSK.
