After beating a dominant South Korean team, India continued its winning run in the men’s volleyball event with a 3-0 victory over Chinese Taipei. With this win, India has now qualified for the 1-6th place playoffs. India started off on the back foot by going down 6-10 in the first set.

But thanks to Erin Varghese, India remained in the contest before levelling the score 21-21. Then Varghese and Ashwal Rai combined to score the final few points giving India a 25-22 set win. Building on this momentum, India battled through another tough set but before registering another 25-22 win.
Coming into the third set, India got off to a one-sided 10-4 start before Chinese Taipei levelled at 14. But Ashwal Rai and Vinit Kumar continued their good form to clinch the game and help India seal a 3-0 triumph with a 25-21 win.
