May 28 continues to remain a disappointing day for cricket fans rainfall continues at Ahmedabad where the 2023 IPL Final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans was scheduled to take place. But even before the toss, Ahmedabad experienced a continuous downpour.
There was a short period where the rainfall stopped at around 9:00 P.M. Players and coaches from both teams made their into the middle with umpires and match referee assessing the probable time of restart. But immediately in a space of few minutes the rains once again started causing a further delay. Hence with constant downpours and added hailstorms, the match would likely be shifted to the reserve day, which is on May 29.
