West Indies winning the toss invited India to bat first and the Indian team posted a total of 438 runs on board with the help of brilliant century from Virat Kohli and fifties from Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. West Indies bowlers fought better as compared to the first Test match as bowlers like Kemar Roach and Jomel Warrican picked three wickets each to their name, which ensured they picked all 10 wickets of Team India unlike previous game. West Indies in reply posted a total of 86/1 at the end of Day 2.
