In the summer friendlies in Japan, Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr will compete against Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and Champions League finalists Inter Milan. However, since Lionel Messi has formally left the Parisian club and was not one of the players PSG chose to illustrate the tour announcement on their website, there won't be a head-to-head match between Ronaldo and his old nemesis Messi.
Three friendly matches will be played by the French giants, with the matchup against Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo serving as the highlight. The Ligue 1 team participated in an all-star game in Saudi Arabia, where PSG already played the former Real Madrid player in a friendly back in January.
The friendly was a part of the Saudi festival Riyadh Seasons, which is supported by the Saudi government. What a spectacle it was, with 90 minutes of nonstop action, nine goals overall, a red card, and unending star power. Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Neymar, and other star players featured, as the French club won 5-4.
The official Al-Nassr handle took to Twitter to announce the fixtures of the pre-season Japan tour on Sunday. The two high-voltage games of the fixture are undoubtedly the ones against PSG and Inter Milan, which will take place on July 25 and July 27 respectively.
The great forward enjoyed a standout season in the Saudi Pro League, nearly leading Al-Nassr to the championship but falling short owing to a lack of support from his teammates. Even though Al-Nassr lost their penultimate game, they were still in contention for the championship. In just 16 games, Ronaldo scored 14 goals for the league. He was the fifth-highest scorer in the league overall and the league's top goal scorer per 90 minutes with an astounding pace of 0.88 goals per 90 minutes.
