17 – Ambati Rayudu and Nitish Rana smashed 17 sixes in IPL 2021.

Both Ambati Rayudu and Nitish Rana played key role for their teams in the last IPL seasons. Rayudu striked at an impressive rate of 151.17 while Nitish Rana smashed 383 runs in IPL 2021. Both of them were retained by their respective franchises ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction for a price of 6.75 Crore and 8 Crore respectively.

17 – Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson has smashed 17 fifty-plus scores in IPL.

Williamson has smashed 1885 runs in IPL at an impressive average of 40.1. Under his leadership, KKR ended at 6th position during 2008 & 2010. In his last IPL season as captain, PWI ended at the bottom of the points table.

17 – Chris Gayle holds the record for smashing most sixes (17) in an IPL innings.

In IPL 2013, when Gayle recorded his highest score of 175* vs PWI, he ended up smashing 17 sixes and 13 boundaries in that thunderous knock. This knock still has separate fan base among the audience as Gayle unleashed his full potential in that game.
