Mumbai Indians’ batter Nehal Wadhera, who has started to make his mark in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, remained unbeaten at 52 and guided his home side to victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 9, Tuesday by six wickets at home. Scoring second half-century of the season, Nehal hit a winning six and helped his team earn two points and advance to third spot on points table of the IPL 2023. The win has surely helped the team take off some stress, and the post-win scenes were a proof. After MI’s win over RCB, Ishan Kishan and Nehal Wadhera were engaged in a fun chat, where the former left no chance to pull the latter’s leg.
In a hilarious video posted on the official Twitter account of Mumbai Indians, Ishan asks Nehal why he removed his helmet to celebrate the triumph over Royal Challengers Bangalore when it was clearly visible that they were going to win. He asked, “Ye last mein apne jb maara match easy ho gaya tha, sabko pata tha hum jeet rahe hain, aap helmet utaar ke kyun aise karne lage? (The last ball you hit, everyone knew we’re gonna win it, it was an easy course from there, then why did you gesture like that and took off your helmet?)”

Replying to Kishan, Nehal said, “it happened in the moment, the crowd was cheering so loud for us that it just happened naturally.”
Wadhera pulled Mumbai to the victory side by smashing brilliant 52* off 34 deliveries with a combination of four fours and three sixes. Notably, the victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore lifted the team to third spot on points table. They now have 12 points from 11 matches in the Indian Premier League 2013.
