In the semi-finals stage of the Indian Wells, Britain’s Jack Draper stunned the four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz from Spain in a three-setter with a scoreline of 6-1, 0-6, 6-4. After achieving one of the biggest wins of his young tennis career, Jack Draper sent out a post on Instagram in admiration of Carlos Alcaraz, who responded by saying, “Can’t wait for the revenge” before wishing him good luck in the Sunday’s final.
Following the conclusion of the first two sets in the Indian Wells men’s singles semi-final clash, which went the way of Jack Draper and Carlos Alcaraz respectively, in a convincing fashion, the match came to life in the third and deciding set. The crucial moment in the match happened when the third set was at 1-1, and the game at 15-15, wherein Jack Draper managed to successfully challenge the decision of umpire Mohamed Lahyani, in regards to the double bounce before breaking the serve of Carlos Alcaraz.
From that point onwards, Jack Draper didn’t look back as he managed to serve out the match in his second attempt against Carlos Alcaraz, to reach the Indian Wells final, which is going to be against Holger Rune of Denmark. It led to Draper taking to Instagram, where he wrote, “Huge respect to Carlos Alcaraz. Looking forward to many more battles,” to which the Spaniard responded by stating his aim at taking a revenge.

Moreover, in his interview with BBC Sport, Jack Draper was quite happy about reaching the final, but at the same time, he wanted to shift his focus to the big dance rather than celebrating the win over Carlos Alcaraz too much. He was quoted as saying, “I'm proud of myself but I'm already thinking about the final. I want to end this week in a great way. We can think about the other stuff afterwards.”
Despite the result of the upcoming Indian Wells final, Jack Draper is guaranteed to move into the top 10 in the ATP World Rankings for the first-time in his career.
