Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board for complaining to the International Cricket Council (ICC). Notably, the Pakistan board registered complaints against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday, October 17. The board raised multiple issues with the Ahmedabad crowd’s behaviour during the India versus Pakistan match on October 14, Saturday.

Kaneria slammed the Pakistan board for the same and questioned the board for the behaviour of the Pakistan side during the match. Kaneria took to social media and said, “Who asked Pakistani journalist Zainab Abbas to comment against India and Hindus? Who asked Mickey Arthur to call ICC event as BCCI event? Who asked Rizwan to perform Namaz in playground? Don’t find faults in others!”

As per a PCB statement, “The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023.” It added, “The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023.”

Speaking of the match, India defeated their arch-rivals by seven wickets to extend their win tally to 3-0 in the ongoing multi-nation cricket tournament. Not only this, but this was Pakistan’s consecutive eighth defeat against the Men in Blue in the World Cup.
