The Matchroom Sport Chairman Eddie Hearn has offered to sign Ryan Garcia to compete against Devin Haney, in his pursuit to make the fight happen on April 20. The 44-year-old spoke to Ryan Garcia, who had recently challenged Rolly Romero for a fight after losing his desire to take on Devin Haney, targeting him on social media earlier.

Due to the recent comments from Eddie Hearn, the highly anticipated boxing match between Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia is seemingly back on the table after negotiations between both the parties didn’t bring any positive results. But, still, it is not clear whether Ryan Garcia will accept the offer to compete against Devin Haney live on PPV following his interest in taking on Rolly Romero instead.

In his recent interview with the Boxinn Social, the Chairman of the Matchroom Sport was quoted as saying about the recent development, “I just think that originally Ryan wanted that fight. And I was disappointed when he switched to 'Rolly'. But obviously the 'Rolly' fight is not happening now. Ryan Garcia wants to be in a big pay-per-view, and if you look at his actual PPV options, Devin Haney is there to be made.”

Eddie Hearn also revealed the recent chat with him and Ryan Garcia on direct message about making the fight with Devin Haney happen. He remarked, “I had a quick message with Ryan last night, and I said to him, 'You're timing is great because I'm going to Las Vegas tomorrow.' Devin and Bill [Haney] are there, and sometimes things just slot in and work out. So I think that''s a really natural fight to be made.”

Notably, Ryan Garcia has the impressive boxing record of 24-1 in his young career, becoming the WBC Interim Lightweight Champion in 2021. Meanwhile, Devin Haney is unbeaten in his boxing career, holding the record of 31-0, and he is the reigning WBC Super Lightweight Champion.
