Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the most successful and loved cricketers to have donned the Indian jersey. Apart from his brilliant wicket-taking skills to finish the game for his side, Dhoni is known for his down-to-earth nature. 1. MS Dhoni paid tribute to Indian Army with his insignia-inscribed gloves
The love and respect that the Ranchi boy carries in his heart for the Indian Army is well-known. The 2011 World Cup winning captain displayed his love for the fraternity during the 2019 World Cup. Dhoni, who serves as Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army was spotted wearing gloves that had regimental dagger insignia of the Para Special Forces.
The gloves had ‘Balidaan’ inscribed on them, which means sacrifice. Though it sparked a debate, but fans loved this gesture by their beloved ‘Thala’.
