The West Indies legend Clive Lloyd has backed the former Indian captain Virat Kohli to break the longstanding record of 100 hundreds in international cricket set by Sachin Tendulkar. The two-time ODI World Cup-winning captain stated that Virat Kohli is 'young enough' to achieve 'anything he wants' in international cricket with the way he is playing.
Virat Kohli, 35, currently sits at 80 hundreds in international cricket, which includes 29 in Tests, 50 in ODIs, and one in T20Is, even though he hadn't reached the three-figure milestone for the better part of three years from 2019 to 2022. But, since then, he has got 10 hundreds in the one-and-a-half year in international cricket, taking the sport by storm.

During a media event, Clive Lloyd spoke about how Virat Kohli could get to 100 hundred milestone in international cricket and said, "I do not know about the period, but he (Virat Kohli) is young enough and I am sure that the way he is playing h e can achieve anything he wants to achieve and it would be something to be quite happy to achieve."
Notably, after competing in the two-match Test series for India against South Africa away, which ended in a 1-1 draw, Virat Kohli made himself available for T20I cricket for the first time in over a year. After losing the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 for India against England at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, Virat Kohli is set to play in the three-match T20I series at home against Afghanistan.
