If you show good form, you can go on to win: Dev on Ashok
When asked if Aditi Ashok or any of the other Indian golfers could win a medal, Kapil Dev, as per Insidesport, said, “It all depends on that one week, and how they play. Golf is somewhat like cricket. If you show good form, you can go on to win. So I just hope that happens for the Indian golfers.”
It is an honour to become the president of PGTI: Kapil Dev
Talking about Kapil Dev's new role in Indian golf, the 1983 Cricket ODI World Cup-winning captain became a PGTI board member in 2021 and has taken over from president from HR Srinivasan, whose tenure came to an end. K apil Dev was elected unanimously for the position.
Speaking about his new role, Kapil Dev said, “It is an honour to become the president of PGTI, an organisation with which I have now been associated for quite a few years. It is a players’ body and I am great friends with all of them and with whom I often play."
“I have been a vice president and I am on the board, so it’s an honour to be chosen by the players to be the president. I promise to do my best as I always have. What gives me even greater pleasure is that I will be able to spend more time with my golfing friends and play a little more,” Kapil Dev added.
