The five-time champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the ninth match of the IPL 2025. While he clarified that Bumrah’s progress is going well at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence, he also asserted that his return date continue to remains under cloud. “Everyone is available except for Bumrah. Like I said in my last interview as well, it’s on a daily basis that he’s going through his program,” Jayawardene said.
“So far, everything seems okay. But there were no timelines given by NCA, so we’ll wait on that,” he continued. It is to be noted that Bumrah was last seen featuring for India in the fifth and final BGT Test series in Sydney where he was forced to make an exit due to some discomfort in his lower back.
