Jonty Rhodes, the South African cricketing legend, took to his official X account to praise the occupancy indicator system of the toilet facility at the Hyderabad International Airport. The 54-year-old akin the occupancy indicator system to the highly famous third umpire referral system in cricket, also called the DRS, in a unique comparison on his official X account.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest fielders of all-time in cricket, Jonty Rhodes played international cricket for South Africa from 1992 to 2003. During his illustrious career, he played 52 Tests for the Proteas, scoring 2,532 runs at an average of 35.66, including three hundreds and 17 fifties, along with 34 catches.
In his ODI career, Jonty Rhodes competed in 245 matches for his country, scoring 5,935 runs at 35.11 average with two hundreds and 33 fifties, which included 105 catches as well. After his international career finished, he took up roles in the commentary and coaching side of cricket, most famously as the fielding coach of the South Africa and Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
After his daughter India was born in Mumbai in 2015, Jonty Rhodes forged a unique bond with the country, travelling places in the recent years, with his recent sojourn being in the state of Goa. Prior to leaving for South Africa from the Hyderabad International Airport recently, he sent out a post about its toilet facility on his official X account, which read, “Looks like the toilets at the new (and impressive) Hyderabad International Airport have adopted the 3rd umpire referral system to indicate whether users are in or out #cricketcrazycountry #goainghome”.
Moreover, Jonty Rhodes, who was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1999, has also been the fielding coach of Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.
