Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni hung his boots in international cricket way back in 2022. However, Dhoni is still an active player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he leads the Chennai-based franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Dhoni has won as many as four IPL titles with CSK and has produced so many magical moments on the field.

Known for his mastery in intimidating the opposition with his tactics, Dhoni has given nightmares to opposition players. The 41-year-old is also known for his selflessness and for his ‘team-first’ attitude. Referring to the same, many former cricketers who played alongside or against Dhoni have named him the “most selfless cricketer in IPL history”.

During a rapid-fire round on Jio Cinema, Chris Gayle, Anil Kumble, Robin Uthappa, Scott Styris, and Parthiv Patel came together and picked Dhoni as the most selfless player in the T20 league’s history. Out of the five participants, four took MS Dhoni’s name when asked the question. They were also asked about the 'most stylish player' choice where KL Rahul was the preferred option for a few.

Coming to MS Dhoni’s participation in IPL 2023, this might very well be Dhoni’s last dance in IPL as the CSK captain is already 41. Dhoni also hinted last year that he wants to play in Chepauk before hanging his boots and as IPL is finally returning to the home-and-away format after a three-year hiatus, Dhoni might consider his future after the tournament is over.

But before that, the legendary cricketer will look to bring the fifth title home for CSK. Dhoni has already started his preparations for IPL 2023. The former India captain was seen hitting sixes during a practice session.
