The United Arab Emirates and the Arabian Gulf are set to host NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022 for the first time in NBA history. Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks will face each other twice in the pre-season games at Etihad Arena, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on October 6 and October 8.
The NBA produced a multi-year partnership with DCT Abu Dhabi that includes the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022 and a few interactive fan events. The fan events will feature appearances by current and former NBA stars including Chris Bosh, Vince Carter, Shaquille O’Neal among others.
The partnership will also include a series of NBA FIT Clinics to promote health and wellness, and an NBA 2K League exhibition event at Middle East Film & Comic Con.

Talking about the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022, Trae Young's Hawks will face Giannis Antetokounmpo's Bucks on Thursday and Saturday this week. Both the games will take place at the Etihad Arena at 9:30 pm IST, however, the tickets for the games have already been sold out.

This year NBA has scheduled many games in different countries to gain a global popularity as Japan hosted two games between the defending champions Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards earlier this week. Apart from the pre-season games, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs will face each other in regular-season game in Mexico on December 17 while Paris will host a game between Chicago Bulls and Deteroit Pistons on January 19, 2023.
