After sitting on the sidelines for months at Manchester United, Jadon Sancho moved to Borussia Dortmund to revive his stagnated footballing career. In an exclusive interview with the German club, a question was posed to him which read, “Did you figure out some interesting bits and pieces, from, let’s say, training alongside Cristiano Ronaldo?”

In a detailed response, Jadon Sancho hailed Cristiano Ronaldo for his positive influence, not only on him but the rest of the young players at Manchester United. He said, “Definitely, you know, great professional and obviously one of my role models, growing up as well. Again, I just love his mentality. And I think every young player that was there at that time when he was there, definitely learned to be at the top, you have to train like you are playing every day the best. Even in the gym, working, even the recovery is important, sleep, important.”

Jadon Sancho also thanked Cristiano Ronaldo for everything he did for him during their time at Manchester United and said, “So, you know, seeing him and playing with him is, I would say, a dream come true because watching YouTube clips of him, he is definitely inspirational. So, you know, I am thankful for him (for) everything he taught me the time he was at Manchester.”

Jadon Sancho signed with his former Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2023-24 season after he went out of favour with the Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag at the start of the campaign. The Englishman had criticised Erik Ten Hag in a now-deleted post on his official X account, speaking about being made a scapegoat at the club while telling people to not believe everything they read.
