During the opening day of the PMGC 2022 Grand Finals on January 6, at the Jakarta International Expo in Indonesia, Krafton has announced the new updates for the PUBG Mobile ESports 2023 season. The new updates include expansion of the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) that will allow the league to be played in more regions as compared to the 2022 season.

BGMI Unban 2023 Unban Date

Additionally, the 2023 season will also give Semi-Pro and amateur squads more opportunities in the PUBG Mobile Regional Clash (PMRC) tournaments to secure their seats in the PMPL 2024. To access the PMPL qualifiers, teams have to compete in the PUBG Mobile National Championship, PUBG Mobile Club Open, or third party tournaments. 

Just like the 2022 season, the PUBG Mobile will have two global tournaments, PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) and the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC). The PMWI will be held in Riyadh in July while the PMGC will be hosted in Turkey, starting from November.

PUBG Mobile Esports to change format

PUBG Mobile has also introduced a new points system for the new season to enhance the gaming experience of the users. According to the new format, the team claiming the Chicken Dinner will get 10 points, while the second and third-placed teams will earn six and five points, respectively.

The  Director of PUBG Mobile Global Esports, James Yang unveiled that PUBG Mobile will host more Regional Clash events this year, like it was held for Chinese and SEA teams in September 2022.
