Rinku Singh has become one of the top-performing cricketers for India since making his international debut in the white ball formats a few months ago. But despite the success of the 26-year-old in cricket, his father Khanchand Singh was recently spotted delivering LPG cylinders in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, with the video going viral on the social media platform X.

Following his T20I debut against Ireland in Malahide in August 2023, Rinku Singh has established himself as the finisher for India, thanks to his impressive array of big strokes coupled with athletic running between the wickets. In his 15 T20Is, he has put together 356 runs at an average of 89 and a strike rate of 176.23, with his highest score being 69 not out.

The impressive showing in the T20I format led to Rinku Singh making his ODI debut against South Africa in Gqeberha in December 2023. During his first couple of outings in the ODI format, he displayed his power hitting to the max, playing a key role in India winning their second-ever series in South Africa.

Although the Indian cricket team isn’t playing any white-ball cricket currently, the viral video of Rinku Singh’s father loading an LPG cylinder into a truck has brought the spotlight back on him in the world of social media.

Notably, Rinku Singh had recently revealed how his father didn’t want to leave his job, regardless of his exploits in cricket. He was quoted as saying, “I told my father to relax now as we have enough for him not to haul cylinders, but he still does it and loves his job. If someone has worked all his life, it is difficult to tell him to stop unless he wants it.”
