With Team India all set to lock horns with England in the third T20I at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson opted for a special training after getting troubled by England pacer Jofra Archer in the first two T20I of the five-match series. Notably, Samson registered scores of 26 and five in the two T20Is against England in Kolkata and Chennai, respectively.
After failing to continue his form from last year, where he hit back-to-back centuries, Sanju Samson was seen having a special practice session ahead of the third T20I in Rajkot. Notably, the T20I opener was seen honing his skills against bouncers while facing plastic balls on a cemented track.

The 30-year-old Kerala batter arrived at the Saurashtra Cricket Association ground on Monday earlier than the rest of his teammates. He was accompanied by India’s new batting coach Sitanshu Kotak and throwdown specialists as he practised short balls. He batted for close to 45 minutes on a cemented pitch where he was fed plastic balls for the pull and hook, along with some ramp and cut shots. Reportedly, after a gruelling 45 minute session, he then batted in the main square for another half an hour, focussing on the climbing ball.
Speaking of the ongoing five-match T20I series in India, the Suryakumar Yadav-led sides are 2-0 up after registering seven and two-wicket wins in Kolkata and Chennai respectively. They will now take the field at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Tuesday, January 28 for the third T20I against England, hoping to clinch the series, before moving to Pune and Mumbai for the fourth and fifth T20I respectively.
