Pandya has been India's regular T20I captain recently. He also led the team during the series against the West Indies alongside Yadav, the vice-captain for the tour. Hence, as reported by the Indian Express, Suryakumar Yadav is set to take reigns against the Aussies. The series will begin on November 23 in Vizag and finish in Hyderabad on December 3.
Suryakumar Yadav has become the highest-ranked batter in T20Is over a short span and has previously led the Mumbai team and an Indian Under-23 team in the Emerging Cup a few years ago. This time around, SKY is set to lead a squad comprising young players like Ishan Kishan and Prasidh Krishna and a few from the Asian Games Gold medal-winning team in Hangzhou, China.
