Virat Kohli, the former India captain, scored his 76th international hundred on day 2 of the second Test match against West Indies in Port of Spain, Trinidad. This was also the 29th three-figure score for the Indian batting superstar, his first overseas in nearly five years, at the Queen’s Park Oval.

On July 21, Friday, the 34-year-old walked into the middle to begin the morning session’s play on 87 not out, partnered with Ravindra Jadeja, who was 36 not out. He waltzed his way into the 90s with a delightful flick stroke for four against Kemar Roach, through the square leg region, before driving Shannon Gabriel behind square on the offside to bring up the memorable milestone.

After hugging his non-striking partner Ravindra Jadeja, the Delhi-born cricketer removed his helmet to acknowledge the team while taking a bow, aka Shubman Gill style. Then, Virat Kohli went on to kiss his wedding ring, a gesture he has been doing for every significant achievement on the cricket field for years.

After putting Team India in a commanding position during the second Test match, Virat Kohli got run out for 121 off 206 deliveries. It was the rocket throw from Alzarri Joseph from the short square leg region, which led to the demise of the 34-year-old.
