As Virat Kohli smashed his 78th international century against Bangladesh, the Indian batter's wife Anushka Sharma posted an Instagram Story celebrating his historic achievement. Playing in Pune, Kohli, starting with a four and six, continued his magical form in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 . Batting with Gill, Kohli took the aggressive approach and was seen attempting to find regular boundaries.

But after Gill's wicket, Virat Kohli was back to his best as picked up gaps and gradually accumulated runs to reach his half-century. Eventually, Shreyas Iyer also departed and then Kohli, batting with KL Rahul, zoomed through the last few remaining runs and reached his historic 78th century with a massive six over the leg side. As the ball went over the boundary rope, Kohli had his hands in the air and celebrated the milestone.

Reacting to this knock, Virat Kohli said, "The pitch was pretty good and allowed me to play my game - just time the ball, hit the gaps, run hard and get the boundary whenever needed. There's a great atmosphere in the change room, we are loving each others' company, the spirit is there for everyone to see. We understand it's a long tournament, you need to create some momentum. Special feeling playing at home, playing in front of all these people."
