The first game of IPL 2022 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was a game for vintage players, especially from the CSK camp. While MS Dhoni notched up a brilliant fifty and propelled CSK to a fighting total, it was Dwayne Bravo who provided the crucial breakthrough for his team.
Bravo dismissed the dangerous Venkatesh Iyer on the second delivery of his very first over to derail KRR's chase a bit. Bravo unleashed his lethal weapon, a slower delivery, to induce an outside edge of Iyer's bat. The rest of the job was done by MS Dhoni who grabbed the ball cleanly. Everyone knows what happens when Dwayne Bravo takes a wicket.

As soon as the veteran pacer dismissed Iyer, all his fans were waiting for his celebration and the West Indies all-rounder did not disappoint at all. He brought his unique celebration to the fore. While Bravo fans had got accustomed to his 'Champion' celebration, the pacer surprised them with a new one. This time, Bravo celebrated his first wicket of IPL 2022 with the dance moves of his new song 'Number One'.

Bravo and Dhoni efforts in vain!
Although the veteran pacer impressed with his performance in the opening game of the season, CSK found it hard to defend the below-par total set by them. KKR batters chased it down easily while CSK bowlers tried to get past through them. After removing Venkatesh Iyer, Bravo also accounted for Nitish Rana. Mitchell Santner then took the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane. Bravo once again struck as he removed Sam Billings in the 18th over, but it was too late till then.
Earlier, MS Dhoni did some calculated hitting to push CSK's total over 130. The veteran batter scored a half-century in 38 balls. But both his and Bravo's efforts went in vain as KKR clinched the match easily.
